Black tea blends FAQ
How do I brew flavoured black tea?
Use 1 to 1.5 teaspoons per 250 ml cup and water at 93 to 100°C. Steep 3 to 5 minutes. Go shorter for a lighter cup and longer if you plan to add milk.
Are there decaf black tea blends?
Yes. Decaf Masala Chai and Decaf Cream Earl Grey give you familiar flavours with most of the caffeine removed, which makes them a good choice for an evening cup.
Can I make iced tea with black tea blends?
Yes. Fruity blends like Passionfruit Mango and Wild Blueberry are great iced. Brew at double strength, then pour over a full glass of ice, or cold brew in the fridge for 8 to 12 hours.
Will a flavoured tea change the taste of my other teas?
It can. Strong aromas like bergamot, spice and smoke travel easily. Keep each blend in its own airtight tin, away from unflavoured teas and from light and heat.
