Very high quality black tea. The leaves are absurdly large when they get to unfurl and fully open, and you can see that whoever picked and rolled this tea took it very seriously. It's very smooth, and is a great example of what Yunnan can produce. My only gripe with it is that it's pretty difficult to eyeball how many pearls you need if you brew in a pot or french press, but for gongfu-style, this shouldn't be an issue.
Amazing tea. So rich, sweet, and satisfying. It gives the entire room a lovely scent. I have purchased this one again and again and again.
I love the brown-sugar, cocoa, honey, and malt notes this has. It’s also quite smooth if you want to enjoy it plain. My favorite way to have a cup is hot with milk and sugar, but it barely takes any sugar compared to other breakfast tea blends, while still being malty and satisfying. I like how it’s comforting but also energizing!

By far my favorite tea I have tried! Pleasant aroma that mirrors or enhances the flavor. I may have an unusual palate, but I do not get the notes of chocolate or cocoa. Great Black tea with, to me, a slight honey lingering taste. It is the sweeter of the black teas I have tried. I am using two pearls per cup. Bet this would be great to infuse in a larger quantity and then chill for an iced tea on a hot day. Will definitely be ordering more!

I saw this years ago and bookmarked it, just looked so appealing. Finally tried it and it really is quite special. I can't tell the chocolatey notes, but even as a very rich full bodied black tea, it's absolutely stunning. I would say you need a diffuser pot to serve it. Personally I have it with a tiny drop of milk, you don't need much at all.

This is one of my favourite teas. A lovely chocolatey scent and lots of flavour. I alternate between this one and the Doke Black Fusion, which is also excellent.

My favorite tea. Wakes me up in the morning. I like to make it in my electric pot with a diffuser so I can have a few cups in the morning.
I had a hard time noticing any chocolatey nutty flavors but I did notice sweet earthy flavor. I guess those chocolatey nutty flavors are pretty mellow that they are unnoticeable if you don't have a clean palate. But I still like the pleasant earthy flavor, the overall aroma, and the sweet taste. It didn't give me a dry mouth feel even when brewed strong.
Big pearls, which expand so you don't need too many for a mug. Reminds me of cacao nib tea, so yes there's def a chocolate element to it. They aren't kidding about the caffeine content either, but I'm sensitive to caffeine, so, maybe not an issue for others. Recommended!
I drink this tea every morning and really enjoy it. A little caffeine to get my day started. The balls are convenient as well.
Rich and malty flavour with a nice natural sweetness and a hint of smokeyness. I found it best to brew this loose in something like a tenmoku or matcha bowl instead of using an infuser so it can spread out and infuse properly. Just drink around the leaves. I can steep it up to three times that way, depending on how quickly I drink the first one.
Best Tea I have ever had, It has a full bodied smokey flavor It not Cheap But you can get 2 and sometimes 3 steeps if you brew it right. I have alot of Teas but have almost switched to Black Dragon Most of the days. Can't wait every mourning for my first Mug of Tea.

I chose this tea after reading some of the reviews. I've been wanting to try it for a while. I was not disappointed. I found it delicious, not too strong and full of flavor. I am also glad I purchased through this company as the delivery time was outstanding. My order was processed immediately and arrived the next day via UPS. A lot better delivery time than most other companies I've used in the past. I highly recommend this special tea and I definitely recommend Tealyra.
My staff bought this for me more Christmas. It is remarkable. I have for many years enjoyed a similar tea from a different company, but I must say this is better tea. Even though there is no mention of this in the description, I detect a hint of smokiness in this tea. Perhaps it is because I brew it for 5 minutes. I wish this company long life so I can keep buying this tea!
Beautiful uplifting tea. Sweet and very fragrant. No bitterness would be beautiful with a dab of honey. But I don't add sweetener to my teas!
