Description

Supreme Jin Jun Mei Golden Eyebrow is a rare gem among black teas — a masterfully crafted brew that begins with only the freshest early-spring buds, which are grown at extremely high elevations, around 1500-1800 meters above sea level, from the mist-clad slopes of the Wuyi Mountains, Fujian Province, China. Raised in high-altitude gardens and harvested by hand, each slender bud is chosen for its purity and golden-tipped vigour — the ultimate raw material for a tea of exceptional character.

Craftsmanship & Heritage

From its creation in 2005 to its present acclaim, Jin Jun Mei stands as one of China’s most prestigious black teas. Only single buds are selected — no mature leaves — and processed with the utmost precision: withering, rolling, fermentation, and gentle roasting. The result: tightly curled leaves with fine golden tips, a hallmark of meticulous craftsmanship and premium quality.

Aroma & Flavour Profile

Brewed, Supreme Jin Jun Mei Golden Eyebrow unfolds into a radiant amber infusion, revealing a complex, multi-layered bouquet:

  • Sweet floral aroma with hints of orchid and honeyed blossoms,

  • Delicate malt and honey notes, often likened to sweet caramel or toasted barley,

  • Subtle fruity undertones — soft stone fruit, dried fruit sweetness — adding depth and vibrancy,

  • Velvety, smooth body with zero harsh astringency, even on multiple infusions,

  • Long, lingering aftertaste — a refined sweetness that slides gently across the palate.

Thanks to the high bud ratio and expert oxidation, this tea is known for exceptional brew endurance: the flavour remains full and sweet through many steepings.

Brewing Recommendations

  • Water temperature: 90–95 °C

  • Leaf-to-water ratio: 2–3 g per 200–250 ml

  • Steep time: 3–5 minutes (first infusion)

  • Tea can be re-steeped 4–6 times, discovering new layers of aroma and flavour with each brew.
