Description
London Lapsang Earl Grey – Smoky Earl Grey with Bergamot & CardamomOur London Lapsang Earl Grey is a mysteriously aromatic black tea that combines the campfire smokiness of Lapsang Souchong with the classic bergamot citrus of Earl Grey. A touch of fresh cardamom and bright blue cornflowers complete this distinctly smooth, smoky and sophisticated blend. Smoky Lapsang Souchong has a long, storied history. It originated in China many centuries ago, and legend has it that its signature smokiness was first discovered by accident, when tea leaves were exposed to the smoke of wood fires. Today, that refined smokiness is created deliberately by withering fresh leaves over an open fire before they're pan-fired, rolled and oxidized. For this blend, we pair that smoky character with bergamot, cardamom and cornflowers for a truly unique twist on Earl Grey. Tasting Notes
