Tea bags FAQ

How many tea bags are in a pack?

Each tea bag option comes as a pack of 25 bags. On the product page, choose Tea Bags instead of Loose Tea to see it.

How do I brew a tea bag?

Use 1 bag per 250 ml cup. Steep black tea at about 96°C for 2 to 3 minutes, green tea at 79 to 82°C for 2 to 3 minutes, and herbal or rooibos at 96°C for 5 to 7 minutes. Each product page lists its own brewing guide.

Is the tea in the bags the same as the loose leaf version?

Yes. The tea bag option is the same named tea or blend as the loose leaf option on the product page, just pre-portioned for convenience.

Can I make iced tea with tea bags?

Yes. Brew 2 bags per 250 ml of hot water for a stronger cup, then pour over ice. Or put a few bags in a pitcher of cold water and let it steep in the fridge for 6 to 8 hours.
